The Scarlet Pimpernel

Baroness Orczy’s classic adventure
January and February 2023

They seek him here, they seek him there...

In January 2023, Blue Sky Theatre presented an outdoor performance of The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Adapted from Baroness Orczy’s novel, the outdoor show was packed with romance, danger and laughs set amongst the streets of Paris during the French revolution in 1792.

Armed with only his wits and his cunning, one man recklessly defies the French revolutionaries to rescue aristocrats from the deadly guillotine.

Our dashing hero hides in plain sight by pretending to be the biggest fool in London. But a ruthless French agent is sworn to discover his identity and stop him at any cost.

This cheeky swashbuckling romp packed with daring deeds and jolly japes starred Simon Barnett, Ashley Bell, Joshua Coldwell, Emily Currie, Gary George, Miriam Keane, Callum Logan, Steve Marvanek, Michelle Nightingale, Nicole Rutty, Eddie Sims, Kate Van Der Horst, Leighton Vogt and Maxwell Whigham.

Directed by Dave Simms
